Anything Else You Should Know

Looking at most portable air conditioners, venting always seems to be the main problem. Unfortunately, the EcoAir CRYSTAL Portable Air Conditioner is no different. The unit performs relatively well on all other fronts except the window mounting. It’s more or less useless unless you have vertical sliding windows.

But for the rest of us with normal windows, it’s going to take some cardboard, duct tape, and innovating to craft a decent seal and prevent hot air from coming back into the room. Ecoair could have done a much better job here; even adding to the length of the hose would have made a huge difference. No matter; there are plenty of affordable window venting kits available that will allow the Crystal to achieve full potential.
