The markets are flooded with humidifiers that are great at what they do. Today, you can even get some models with an endless array of functions such as purifiers, oil diffusers, and even mood lights.
However, certain situations call for some serious amount of hefty vaporising. If you need a dedicated humidifier without all the other add-ons, then the Ultrasonic Cool Mist IMS Humidifier is just the thing for you.
IMS Air Humidifier Review
What I like
- Large 2-litre tank
- Small and user-friendly
- Spray intensity can be ajusted
- Salt Ionizer for Cave therapy
What I don’t like
- Poor instructions
- No mood lights
What Are You Buying?
The IMS Air Humidifier is a large, blue dedicated volcano-shaped humidifier that utilises the power of ultrasonic technology to spread a fine haze of mist around your house. Lower humidity levels can be super challenging to live with and can cause itchy and flaky skin, irritation of the sinus passages and even difficulties in breathing. The humidifier restores moisture to the air surprisingly fast.
With a 2-litre water tank capacity, the IMS Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier gives users up to 12 hours of continuous use without needing a refill. Even with a maximum output of almost 300 ml/hr, you could use this humidifier for hours and barely make a dent on the water level.
The water tank is also translucent; allowing you to see the water level before it runs out. However, the IMS Humidifier has an automatic off switch that works when the water runs dry.
One of the biggest selling points of the IMS Humidifier is the rare function to ionize salt particles. This means users can also get Salt or Cave Therapy by just adding a little amount of salt in the water tank. This creates negative ions that not only purify the air substantially but also lift your moods and spirits. Just remember to switch out the water after every three days to ensure it remains fresh and virile.
How Easy Is It To Use?
The IMS Humidifier is one of the most simplistic devices I have ever seen. The volcanic shape ends up in a handle at the top for easy transport and is also very useful for opening the top. This is followed by a semi-transparent water tank and a classic control knob for switching on and adjusting the mist intensity.
While the control knob does allow you to settle on your preferred mist settings, the IMS Humidifier lacks a timer, so you have to switch it off manually or just run it till the water gets used up.
For a large ultrasonic humidifier, it’s relatively easy to clean and runs surprisingly quieter than some of my previous models. The indicator light also turns red when the water level runs too low, which is also a bonus since it’s pretty reticent, aside from the regular bubble here and there.
While this particular product produces a steady flow of mist from the top, it lacks a nozzle for directing the spray. But it makes it up with a 280ml/hr spray that quickly fills a large room, office, dorms and hotel rooms.
What Accessories Are Included?
Upon receiving your package, you should find the following items in the box:
- 1 Ultrasonic Cool Mist IMS Humidifier and Ionizer
- Users manual
Most customers like to purchase complementary products after buying the IMS Air Humidifier. I ordered the Profusion Himalayan Rose Salts and the Westlab Himalayan Salt to complement my purchase.
IMS Air Humidifier Key Features
Pros
- Large capacity 2-litre tank that lasts up to 12 hours
- LED indicator with automatic shut-off function
- Control knob for adjusting spray intensity
- Contains Salt Ionizer for Cave therapy
Cons
- The product probably has some of the worst instructions that are written in poor and barely decipherable English; however, the humidifier itself is in tip-top shape
- For those who like it dark, this product is perfect since it does not have any mood lights to light up; however, it does have a small on light that you might need to cover up
Anything Else You Should Know
It is also worth mentioning that the Ultrasonic Cool Mist IMS Humidifier and Ionizer does not use regular salt. Make sure you use only the recommended Himalayan salt at 0.1 grams for every 2 litres of water. Also, remember that this particular product does not have an Oil diffuser, adding aromatherapy oil to the tank could corrupt and wet the humidifier.
Conclusion
The Ultrasonic Cool Mist IMS Humidifier and Cave therapy ionizer is perfect for people looking for a dedicated humidifier. With an above average water capacity that can last an entire night and absolutely zero unnecessarily added features, this product is very efficient and very easy to operate. It’s a thumbs up from this long-time humidifier lover.

Summary
The IMS Humidifier is a large, blue dedicated volcano-shaped humidifier that utilises the power of ultrasonic technology to spread a fine haze of mist around your house.
Thanks for this 🙂
Only 0.1 grams I was using at least half a cup and I wander why my room turned into a crystal palace, I stopped using it’s i kept getting salt everywhere and it was giving me a cough at time ?
0.1 grams for 2 L seem to little for me, would h be able to get the benefits with that, maybe I will cut down to 2 tablespoons
Mine stopped working and I am trying to find out how to contact the company with no success. I mean, it worked for a good two years, but I’d like to try and repair it before I buy another one. I took really good care of it and all seems to be running the way it should. It just isn’t pushing out any mist anymore. Otherwise, this salt diffuser has really helped me overcome multiple bouts of chronic bronchitis. I absolutely believe in the healing powers of salt.
